Rennala, Queen of the Full Moon, is the boss of the Academy of Raya Lucaria and one of the most unique boss fights in Elden Ring.

  • Difficulty: Medium
  • Health: ~7,000 HP
  • Rewards: 40,000 Runes, Remembrance of the Full Moon
  • Level 40-50 - With upgraded weapons (+6 to +8)
  • Vigor: 30-35
  • Mind: 15-20 (for FP management)

Attack Patterns

Phase 1

  • Book Projectiles - Floating books that chase you
  • Magic Missiles - Homing magic attacks
  • Staff Combos - Melee attacks with her staff
  • Teleportation - Moves around the arena

Phase 2 (at 50% HP)

  • Full Moon - Large moon magic attack
  • Ice Crystals - Creates ice spikes
  • Laser Beam - Powerful beam attack
  • Moon Vortex - Area of effect attack

Strategy

General Tips

  1. Roll Through Projectiles - Dodge magic attacks
  2. Stay Mobile - Don’t stay in one spot
  3. Use Magic Resistance - Magic Scorpion Charm
  4. Bring FP Pots - For magic users
  5. Attack During Recovery - Hit after her spells

  • Dodge Books - Roll through book projectiles
  • Close the Distance - Get in close to avoid magic
  • Punish Teleport - Attack when she teleports
  • Watch for Combos - Her melee attacks are fast
